Normally, we think of graffiti as the result of adding paint to a wall or surface.

보통, 우리는 그래피티를 벽이나 표면에 페인트를 더한 것의 결과로 생각한다.

But it is also possible to create graffiti by erasing something.

하지만 무언가를 지움으로써 그래피티를 만들어 내는 것도 가능하다.

This type of art is called reverse graffiti.

이런 예술 유형은 리버스 그래피티라고 불린다.

Reverse graffiti, also known as clean graffiti, literally reverses the idea of traditional graffiti.

리버스 그래피티는 깨끗한 그래피티라고도 알려져 있으며, 말 그대로 전통적인 그래피티에 대한 발상을 뒤집는다.

Reverse graffiti artists first find dirty surfaces.

리버스 그래피티 예술가들은 우선 더러운 표면을 찾는다.

Then they clean away parts of the dirt with brushes and water hoses.

그 다음 그들은 붓과 물 호스로 먼지의 일부분을 깨끗이 닦아낸다.

Images and words are made by the contrast between the clean part and the dirty part.

이미지와 말은 깨끗한 부분과 더러운 부분 사이의 대조를 통해 만들어진다.

Reverse graffiti has been seen on dirty road signs and dirty tunnel walls, and this new trend is spreading all over the world.

Recently, reverse graffiti has been used as a form of advertising.

Advertisements such as posters and leaflets use lots of materials and create waste.

포스터나 전단 같은 광고는 많은 재료를 사용하고 쓰레기를 만든다.

However, reverse graffiti only requires brushes, water and creativity!

하지만 리버스 그래피티는 오로지 붓, 물, 그리고 창의력만을 필요로 한다!

Also, it is temporary and doesn’t use harmful paints.

또한 그것은 일시적이고 해로운 페인트를 사용하지 않는다.

In other words, it is very environmentally friendly!

Every winter in northern Sweden, a unique performance takes place inside a frozen, igloo-shaped concert hall.

They can melt away at the touch of a hand!

All the instruments are made of ice.

모든 악기는 얼음으로 만들어진다.

The Ice Music orchestra plays a wide variety of ice instruments.

얼음 음악 오케스트라는 매우 다양한 얼음 악기들을 연주한다.

They include ice violins, ice guitars, ice drums, and a large ice xylophone.

그것들은 얼음 바이올린, 얼음 기타, 얼음 드럼, 그리고 대형 얼음 실로폰을 포함한다.

Although the stringed instruments have metal strings, the main part of each instrument is made of ice.

Importantly, there are no wind instruments.

That’s because they would melt away from the musicians’ breath!

During shows, the instruments glow with heatless, color-changing LEDs while the performers make beautiful sounds.

Performances are impressive, but sadly they must be kept short.

Otherwise the audience freezes and the instruments melt!
