This upside down pyramid is the groundbreaking idea of architects in Mexico City.

이 거꾸로 된 피라미드 형태는 멕시코 시티 건축가들의 획기적인 아이디어이다.

Currently, Mexico has a fast-growing population but little space.

현재 멕시코는 빠르게 인구가 늘고 있지만 공간은 거의 없다.

Also, tall buildings are forbidden in order to preserve the city’s cultural heritage.

또한, 도시의 문화 유산을 보존하기 위해 높은 건물은 금지되어 있다.

To deal with these problems, architects suggested digging under Zócalo, Mexico City’s main square.

Because it will be hidden underground, the 65-floor Earthscraper will maintain the city’s historical look and public spaces.

The square can still hold events, such as concerts and parades, on the structure’s massive glass roof.

Natural light will come through the glass and brighten the entire building — even the lowest floor!

The Earthscraper will include a museum as well as provide space for offices, stores, and homes.

In addition, every tenth floor will be a garden floor.

또한 매 10번째 층은 정원 층이 될 것이다.

The plants there will work as natural air filters.

The Earthscraper is still in the planning stages, but it could be an important type of building in the future.
