But we can see a different logo every Valentine’s Day.
For example, one year, the first “o” changed to a person.
The second “o” changed to a red heart.
And the second “g” became another person.
We can also see other special logos.
Google posts them on many special days.
These logos are called “doodles.”
Many visitors love them because they are cute and fun.

They make the experience of visiting the website interesting.
In the past, only a few people worked on the doodles.
Now a large team of artists is working to make more creative logos.
Imagine that you are in Japan.
You want to use the restroom.
But you do not read or speak Japanese.
So you cannot easily find the restroom.
Then you see a picture on the wall.
It is a restroom pictogram!

Using pictograms is a way of communicating through images.
It is easier than communicating through words.
Different languages use different words.
If you do not know the language, you cannot communicate well.
But with pictograms, you can understand the meaning of everything!
In 1992, there was a terrible war in Bosnia.
One day, a bomb blew up in Sarajevo.
It killed 22 people in a bakery.
But this tragedy brought something beautiful.
The day after the bombing, a cellist, Vedran Smailovic, went to the square near the bakery.
He was wearing a black suit and a white shirt.
He started playing his cello.
He played in the same place for 22 days.
He did this to remember each of the 22 dead people.
Every day, people gathered to listen to the music.
Smailovic’s music comforted Bosnians, and he became a symbol of peace.
Vincent van Gogh is one of the most famous artists in the world.
His signature is special, too.
He never signed his full name.
Instead, he signed “Vincent.”
No one is sure why he did this.
However, some people think it was because his last name was hard to pronounce.
People sometimes said, “Van Goff” or “Van Go.”
These are different from the Dutch pronunciation.
So he just signed his common first name.
Plus, he did not sign every painting.
He signed his name in the corner of a painting only if he was satisfied with it.
Interestingly, for his painting Sunflowers, he signed the flower vase in the center.
This shows us his special love and pride for the painting.
