Have you ever thought about having a robot that you could have a conversation with while it cleaned your house?

Let’s take a closer look at two ways it can do this— neural networks and deep learning.

AI programs usually use a neural network.

This is a type of computer system that works like a human brain.

It has many connected parts that can handle simple questions on their own.

When these parts work together, they can answer highly complex problems.

Deep learning, on the other hand, is a process that takes a lot of time and works by giving a computer various types of information.

If you wanted a computer to recognize a certain type of tree, for instance, you might give it information about the tree’s shape or where it grows.

The computer would then use all of this information when trying to identify the tree.

AI is actually already all around us—from smartphones that can talk to us to driverless cars.
