I’m going to try it at home for my science project.

Fish, bacteria, and plants are the main parts of aquaponics.

물고기, 박테리아, 식물이 아쿠아포닉스의 주요 부분이다.

After you feed the fish, they produce waste.

물고기에게 먹이를 주면, 그것들은 배설물을 만들어 낸다.

The waste is turned into food for the plants by bacteria.

이 배설물은 박테리아에 의해 식물의 먹이로 바뀐다.

The plants clean the water by consuming the food.

Steps

1. I made holes in the bottom of a pot.

1. 화분 바닥에 구멍을 뚫었다.

Then I put small stones and plants in it.

그런 후에 화분에 작은 돌들을 넣고 식물을 심었다.

2. I made a big hole in the lid of the fish tank and put the pot in the hole.

2. 어항 덮개에 큰 구멍을 내고 구멍에 그 화분을 넣었다.

3. I fixed the pot in place with clay.

3. 찰흙으로 화분을 제자리에 고정하였다.

4. I made another hole in the lid and put a tube through it.

4. 덮개에 또 다른 구멍을 하나 만들고 그 안에 관을 넣었다.

5. I put a water pump in the fish tank.

5. 어항에 수중 펌프를 넣었다.

I used the tube to connect the pump to the pot.

관을 이용하여 펌프를 화분에 연결하였다.

6. I filled the fish tank with water and put some fish in it.

6. 어항에 물을 채우고 물고기 몇 마리를 거기에 넣었다.

Then I turned on the pump.

그러고 나서 펌프를 작동하였다.

결과

From this experiment, I grew my plants and raised fish with aquaponics.

이 실험으로 나는 아쿠아포닉스로 식물과 물고기를 키웠다.

I just fed the fish, but the plants have grown 17 centimeters in three months.

나는 그저 물고기에 밥만 주었는데도 식물은 석 달 동안 17cm나 자랐다.

The fish stay healthy and the water is clean all the time.

물고기는 건강을 유지하며 물은 항상 깨끗하다.

Conclusion

결론

Some important things about aquaponics were learned from this experiment.

First, water is saved because the plants don’t need watering.

Second, it is good for the environment because no chemicals are used.

Finally, you can do aquaponics anywhere because it doesn’t need much space.

Some farmers use aquaponics to produce vegetables and raise fish.
