Can you imagine camels walking across a snowy field?

It sounds strange, but this was probably a normal sight millions of years ago.

Scientists recently discovered the bones of ancient camels in the Arctic region of Canada.

Apparently, this is where they lived long, long ago.

Interestingly, similar camel bones have been found about 1,200 kilometers to the south.

At that time, the two continents were connected, so they could simply walk across.

Its hump would have allowed it to store food during the dark, frozen winter months.

Of course, these features were extremely useful when the camel switched to a desert habitat.
