This often comes at the expense of more independent and creative enterprises, and leads to diverse and less commercial voices being marginalized across digital platforms.

We are already seeing the results today: the continued neglect of individuals’ opinions in favor of those who already command society’s attention.

To fix this injustice will not be easy, nor will it be quick.

But if elite billionaires and average citizens work together to elevate the weak and restrain the powerful online, then we may still achieve a fair and balanced internet.
