Everyone knows that we shouldn’t trust people who are continually dishonest.
In our personal lives, this is easy.
When someone lies to us, we usually stop believing them.
We start spending less and less time with them and sometimes ignore them completely.
The situation, however, is more complicated when it comes to politicians.
If we completely stop trusting them, then we can no longer participate in democracy.
This is a terrible thing, as our government makes important decisions that affect our daily lives.
Therefore, we must make our voices heard.
On the other hand, if politicians are allowed to lie without being challenged, then they will continue to lie.
This is why we have to continue to listen to politicians but speak up when they fail to be truthful.
