Liam checked the street sign, but the name felt foreign to him.

Liam은 거리 표지판을 확인했지만, 그 이름은 그에게 낯설게 느껴졌다.

Since he moved here a week ago, every walk had ended the same way.

그가 일주일 전에 이곳으로 이사 온 이후로, 모든 산책은 똑같은 방식으로 끝이 났다.

He would find himself standing at an unfamiliar crosswalk, unsure which way to go.

그는 어느 길로 가야 할지 모른 채로 자신이 어떤 낯선 횡단보도 앞에 서 있는 것을 발견하곤 했다.

“Nothing feels familiar,” he muttered and shoved his hands into his pockets.

“어떤 것도 익숙하게 느껴지지 않아.”라고 그는 중얼거리고 두 손을 주머니에 찔러 넣었다.

He kept walking, his eyes passing over identical rows of houses.

그는 줄지어 늘어선 똑같은 집들을 눈으로 훑으며 계속 걸었다.

At one point, he almost turned back.

어느 순간 그는 거의 발길을 돌릴 뻔했다.

Then a narrow side street caught his attention.

Liam pushed the gate open.

Inside, a stone path wound between old trees, and a bench sat beneath the largest one.

안쪽에는 돌길이 오래된 나무들 사이로 구불구불 나 있었고, 가장 큰 나무 아래에 벤치가 하나 놓여 있었다.

He lowered himself onto it, stretched out, and tipped his head back.

그는 그 위에 몸을 낮춰 앉아 쭉 뻗고는 머리를 뒤로 젖혔다.

For the first time that week, he was in no hurry to find his way home.
