The school treasure hunt was Jenny’s favorite event.

교내 보물찾기는 Jenny가 가장 좋아하는 행사였다.

With her map in her hand, she moved from place to place, following each clue carefully.

지도를 손에 든 채로, 그녀는 각 단서를 주의 깊게 따라가며 이곳저곳으로 옮겨 다녔다.

However, after searching the playground and the field for a long time, she found nothing.

그러나 운동장과 들판을 오랫동안 뒤진 후에도, 그녀는 아무것도 찾지 못했다.

Several clues led only to empty corners, and her steps gradually slowed.

여러 단서들은 텅 빈 구석으로만 이어졌고, 그녀의 발걸음은 점차 느려졌다.

Unfolding the map, she checked each symbol.

지도를 펼치며, 그녀는 각 기호를 확인했다.

“Maybe I missed something,” she murmured, and a sigh escaped her lips.

“아마 내가 뭔가 놓쳤을 거야.”라고 그녀가 중얼거렸고, 한숨이 그녀의 입술에서 새어 나왔다.

For a moment, she thought about heading back to the starting point.

잠시 동안, 그녀는 출발점으로 돌아갈까 생각했다.

But as she looked up from her map, something unusual caught her eye near the base of the old tree.

하지만 그녀가 지도에서 눈을 들었을 때, 오래된 나무 밑동 근처에 뭔가 특이한 것이 그녀의 눈에 들어왔다.

A small wooden box lay partly buried there.

작은 나무 상자 하나가 그곳에 부분적으로 묻혀 있었다.

Jenny walked over to it and knelt down to open it.

Jenny는 그쪽으로 걸어가서 그것을 열기 위해 무릎을 꿇었다.

Inside, she found gold-colored coins and a short note.

안에서, 그녀는 금색 동전들과 짧은 쪽지를 발견했다.

She quickly stood up, pressed the box against her chest, and ran toward the meeting place, barely noticing the ground beneath her feet.

그녀는 재빨리 일어나 상자를 가슴에 꼭 안고, 발밑의 땅도 거의 느끼지 못한 채 집합 장소를 향해 달려갔다.
