I reached the airport early for my flight.

나는 비행기를 타기 위해 일찍 공항에 도착했다.

At the check-in counter, the agent was inputting my information and suddenly stopped typing.

체크인 카운터에서, 직원이 내 정보를 입력하다가 갑자기 타자를 멈췄다.

She looked at the screen with a serious expression and called another staff member to the counter.

그녀는 심각한 표정으로 화면을 바라보며 다른 직원을 카운터로 불렀다.

My heart began to beat faster as the two of them checked the screen and spoke in low voices.

두 사람이 화면을 확인하고 낮은 목소리로 이야기하는 동안 내 심장은 빠르게 뛰기 시작했다.

I kept asking myself, “What’s going on?

나는 ‘무슨 일이지?

Is there something wrong with my passport or my flight?”

내 여권이나 항공편에 무슨 문제가 있는 걸까?’라고 계속 스스로에게 물었다.

After what felt like an hour, she printed a boarding pass and handed it to me with a smile.

한 시간은 지난 것처럼 느껴진 후, 그녀는 탑승권을 출력해서 미소 지으며 내게 건네주었다.

“Sorry, economy class was overbooked,” she said, “so we moved you to a larger and more comfortable seat.”

“죄송합니다, 이코노미 좌석이 초과 예약되었습니다.”라고 그녀가 말했다. “그래서 더 크고 편안한 좌석으로 옮겨 드렸습니다.”

I let out a long breath and felt the tension leave my shoulders.

나는 길게 숨을 내쉬며 어깨에서 긴장이 풀리는 것을 느꼈다.
