Jared had been preparing for the science fair for three months, staying up late every night to build his solar-powered water filter.

Jared는 태양광 정수기를 만들기 위해 매일 밤을 지새우며 세 달 동안 과학 박람회를 준비해 왔었다.

On the morning of the fair, he tripped and fell on the entrance steps, and his model shattered into pieces.

Jared stood frozen, as his heart tightened and his eyes stung.
