The term “Goldilocks economy” comes from the famous children’s fairytale Goldilocks and the Three Bears.

‘골디락스 경제’라는 용어는 유명한 어린이 동화 「골디락스와 곰 세 마리」에서 유래한다.

In the story, a girl called Goldilocks discovers a house in the forest while taking a walk.

그 이야기에서, 골디락스라는 소녀는 산책을 하다가 숲속의 집을 발견한다.

After entering the house and seeing three bowls of porridge on the table, she decides to eat some.

집에 들어서서 식탁 위에 있는 죽 세 그릇을 본 후, 그녀는 조금 먹기로 결심한다.

The first one is too hot, and the second one is too cold.

첫 번째 것은 너무 뜨겁고, 두 번째 것은 너무 차갑다.

The third one, however, is just the right temperature.

그러나 세 번째 것은 딱 적절한 온도이다.

A Goldilocks economy is like the third bowl of porridge because it is not too hot or too cold but just right.

골디락스 경제는 너무 뜨겁거나 너무 차갑지 않고 딱 적절하기 때문에 세 번째 죽과 같은 것이다.

In this ideal state, the economy is growing steadily without fear of inflation.

이 이상적인 상태에서, 경제는 물가 상승에 대한 두려움 없이 꾸준히 성장하고 있다.

Unemployment rates are low and asset prices continue to rise while interest rates stay low.

실업률은 낮고 자산 가격은 계속 상승하며, 금리는 낮게 유지된다.

This stability allows the economy to have a market-friendly monetary policy.

이러한 안정성은 경제가 시장 친화적인 통화정책을 가질 수 있도록 한다.
