Look at these two paintings.

이 두 그림을 보아라.

Believe it or not, they both depict the same person, Holy Roman Emperor Rudolf II.

믿기 어렵겠지만, 이 두 작품은 모두 같은 인물인 신성 로마 제국의 황제 루돌프 2세를 묘사한다.

The one on the left might look familiar, as it is a standard style of portrait that you would see in a gallery or an art book.

왼쪽에 있는 그림은 미술관이나 미술책에서 볼 수 있는 일반적인 스타일의 초상화이기 때문에 익숙해 보일 수도 있다.

However, the one on the right, called Vertumnus, is very unconventional.
