신선한 공기의 숨결

My name is Helena Smit, and I am 93 years old.

제 이름은 Helena Smit이고, 93살이에요.

I have been living at Humanitas for the past 15 years, so I remember when we were first informed that we would have young people as neighbors.

저는 지난 15년간 Humanitas에서 살아왔기에, 젊은이들이 이웃으로 온다는 것을 처음 알게 되었을 때를 기억해요.

Believe me, not everyone was happy about it!

정말로, 모든 사람들이 다 그것을 반기지는 않았어요!

But that quickly changed once they moved in.

하지만 그들이 입주하자마자, 그것은 빠르게 바뀌었죠.

The students here are energetic, friendly, and caring.

이곳의 학생들은 활기차고, 친절하고, 배려심이 많아요.

They make us laugh and create a joyful mood.

그들은 우리를 웃게 하고 즐거운 분위기를 만들죠.

Humanitas was already a decent place to live before the students arrived, but it has become a lot more fun since they moved in.

Humanitas는 학생들이 오기 전에도 이미 살기 괜찮은 곳이었지만, 그들이 입주하고 나서 훨씬 더 즐거워졌어요.

Recently, the students held a pajama party and invited us to join them.

최근에 학생들은 잠옷 파티를 열었고, 그들과 함께 하자고 우리를 초대했어요.

They taught us how to play some new games, and we all had a great time.

그들은 우리에게 새로운 게임을 하는 방법도 가르쳐주었고, 우린 모두 즐거운 시간을 보냈죠.

It was like we were in our 20s again.

마치 우리가 다시 20대로 돌아간 기분이었어요.

I sometimes hear loud music from my young next-door neighbor’s apartment, but that is okay.

가끔은 옆집 젊은 이웃의 아파트에서 큰 음악 소리가 들리긴 하지만, 괜찮아요.

It’s a small matter compared to what they’ve brought to our lives.

그것은 그들이 우리 인생에 가져다준 것에 비해서는 사소한 문제거든요.

I’m grateful every day that they have become part of our community.

그들이 우리 공동체의 일원이 된 것에 저는 매일 감사해요.
