Welcome to the School Heroes Awards!

학교 영웅상에 오신 것을 환영합니다!

I’m the student president, Eunho Choi.

저는 학생회장 최은호입니다.

During the school day, we see our friends and teachers most of the time.

학교생활 동안, 우리는 대부분의 시간에 친구들과 선생님들을 만납니다.

But there are other people who play roles behind the scenes!

하지만 보이지 않는 곳에서 역할을 하시는 다른 분들이 있습니다!

Today, we have awards to present to three of these heroes.

오늘, 우리는 이러한 영웅들 중 세 분께 수여할 상이 있습니다.

Drum roll, please!

북 소리 부탁드립니다!

The first winner is the facilities manager, Mr. Kim!

첫 번째 수상자는 시설 관리자 김 선생님입니다!

He takes care of our school buildings.

그는 우리 학교 건물을 관리합니다.

Do you remember last summer?

지난여름 기억하시나요?

Some air conditioners broke down, and it became very hot.

에어컨 몇 대가 고장이 나서 무척 더워졌어요.

However, Mr. Kim came right away and fixed them.

하지만 김 선생님이 바로 오셔서 그것들을 고쳐 주셨어요.

He works hard to make our school a great place for studying.

그는 우리 학교를 공부하기 좋은 곳으로 만들기 위해 열심히 일하십니다.

“I love working for our students.

“저는 우리 학생들을 위해 일하는 것을 아주 좋아합니다.

If you have a question about the school facilities, feel free to ask me!”

학교 시설에 대한 질문이 있으면, 편하게 저에게 물어보세요!”

The next award goes to ... the leader of the cafeteria staff, Ms. Lee!

다음 수상자는 ... 교내 식당 직원의 대표이신 이 선생님입니다!

Many students say our school lunches are the best.

많은 학생들이 우리 학교 급식이 최고라고 말합니다.

Ms. Lee prepares fresh and delicious meals for us every day.

이 선생님은 매일 우리를 위해 신선하고 맛있는 식사를 준비하십니다.

At lunchtime, she serves us food with a big smile.

점심시간에 그녀는 환한 미소로 우리에게 음식을 제공해 주십니다.

After the students leave the cafeteria, she washes the dishes and cleans the cafeteria.

학생들이 식당을 떠난 후에, 그녀는 설거지를 하고 식당을 청소하십니다.

“I’m happy when students enjoy their lunches.

“저는 학생들이 맛있게 점심을 먹을 때 행복합니다.

I’m proud to serve delicious and healthy food.”

저는 맛있고 건강한 음식을 제공하는 것이 자랑스럽습니다.”

Now it’s time to announce our final winner.

이제 마지막 수상자를 발표할 시간입니다.

It’s our security officer, Mr. Park.

바로 우리 학교의 경비원이신 박 선생님입니다.

Who do you see first when you enter the school gate?

여러분은 교문에 들어갈 때 누구를 제일 먼저 보나요?

It’s Mr. Park.

박 선생님입니다.

He makes sure we can walk to school safely in the morning.

그는 우리가 아침에 안전하게 학교에 걸어갈 수 있게 해 주십니다.

During the day, he walks around the school to check for any dangerous situations.

낮 동안에, 그는 위험한 상황이 있는지 확인하기 위해 학교 주변을 돌아다니십니다.

We can feel safe and focus on studying thanks to him!

그 덕분에 우리는 안심하고 공부에 집중할 수 있습니다!
