George Shaw was a zoologist working at Britain’s Natural History Museum.

George Shaw(조지 쇼)는 영국 자연사 박물관에서 일하는 동물학자였다.

In 1799 he received a strange animal specimen from Australia.

1799년에 그는 을 호주에서이상한 동물 표본 받았다.

It had a bill like a duck’s, a tail like a beaver’s, and feet like an otter’s.

At first, he thought it was a joke.

But as he received more samples, he began to realize it was a real animal —the platypus.

So Nobunaga thought that his skin was painted.

Yasuke overcame prejudice in a foreign country, and his story reminds us that people should not be judged based on their appearance or background.
