A wise king was traveling with his son.

한 현명한 왕이 아들과 여행을 하고 있었어요.

After a few hours, they stopped to rest.

몇 시간 후, 그들은 쉬기 위해 멈췄어요.

The prince wanted to feed their horses.

왕자는 말들에게 먹이를 주고 싶었어요.

He took out a big bag of peas.

그는 커다란 완두콩 주머니를 꺼냈어요.

Suddenly, a hungry monkey jumped out of a tree.

갑자기, 배고픈 원숭이가 나무에서 뛰어내렸어요.

It quickly took a big handful of the peas.

그것은 빠르게 완두콩 한 줌을 집었어요.

Then it climbed back up the tree.

그 다음 그것은 다시 나무로 올라갔어요.

But one pea fell from its hand.

그런데 완두콩 하나가 그것의 손에서 떨어졌어요.

The monkey didn't want to lose any of its peas, so it reached out to grab the pea.

원숭이는 완두콩을 하나도 잃고 싶지 않아서 그 콩을 잡으려고 손을 뻗었어요.

Unfortunately, it dropped all of the other peas!

안타깝게도, 그것은 나머지 완두콩을 모두 떨어뜨려 버렸어요!

The horses ate the peas.

말들이 완두콩을 먹었어요.

The monkey watched sadly.

원숭이는 슬프게 바라봤어요.

Then the king laughed and said, "We can learn a lesson from that monkey.

그때 왕이 웃으며 말했어요, "저 원숭이로부터 배울 수 있는 교훈이 있어.

If you are greedy, you get nothing in the end."

욕심을 부리면 결국 아무것도 얻지 못한단다."
