Colors Show a Character’s Journey

색은 캐릭터의 여정을 보여 준다

Film directors capture the changes in their characters’ lives through changes in color.

영화감독들은 색상의 변화를 통해 캐릭터들의 삶의 변화를 포착해낸다.

Another film from the 1990s follows the dramatic experience of a man with scissor hands who comes down to a town to live with ordinary folks.

1990년대의 또 다른 영화는 평범한 사람들과 함께 살기 위해 마을로 내려오는 가위 손을 가진 한 남자의 극적인 경험을 따라간다.

He always wears black, and the castle where he used to live was a gray and gloomy place.

그는 항상 검은 옷을 입고 있고, 그가 예전에 살았던 성은 회색빛의 우울한 장소였다.

However, in the town where he came to live with his lover, each house is painted differently, and the people wear colorful clothes.

그러나 그가 사랑하는 사람과 함께 살기 위해 온 마을에서는 집집마다 다른 색으로 색칠되어 있고, 사람들은 다채로운 옷을 입고 있다.

At first, he is welcomed by the people in town, but as he becomes misunderstood and disliked, the film’s colors gradually become darker.

처음에 그는 마을 사람들에게 환영받지만, 그가 오해받고 미움받게 되면서 영화의 색깔은 점점 더 어두워진다.

Eventually, he returns to his castle, but he fills his garden with green grass and beautiful, blooming flowers.

결국 그는 자신의 성으로 돌아가는데, 그는 자신의 정원을 초록빛 풀과 아름답고 활짝 핀 꽃들로 가득 채운다.

Moreover, ice powder from his ice sculpture blows in the wind like snow.

With such changes, the director shows the audience that his life has become much happier.
