Mountains are great places to spend your free time, but they can be dangerous if you’re not prepared.

산은 여가시간을 보내기에 좋은 장소지만, 준비가 되어 있지 않으면 위험할 수 있다.

Imagine you went hiking with your friends or family and got lost while taking pictures of plants and animals.

친구나 가족과 등산을 갔다가 식물과 동물의 사진을 찍느라 길을 잃었다고 상상해보라.

What if you couldn’t find your way back and had to wait until someone came and saved you?

돌아가는 길을 찾을 수가 없어서 누군가 와 도와주기를 기다려야 한다면?

To survive, you’d need three things: fire, water and shelter.

살아남기 위해서는 세 가지가 필요할 것이다: 불과 물, 그리고 피신처.

Fire is essential because mountains get cold at night, even in the summer.

산은 밤에 추워지기 때문에 불은 여름에도 필수적이다.

Fire also keeps dangerous animals away and can let people know where you are.

불은 또한 위험한 동물들이 다가오지 못하게 하고 사람들에게 당신의 위치를 알릴 수 있다.

Therefore, you should always carry a lighter or a box of matches with you.

따라서, 언제나 라이터나 성냥 한 갑을 가지고 다녀야 한다.

If you don’t have either of these, you can hit a rock against a piece of steel to make a spark and start a fire.

둘 다 없다면, 돌에 쇠 조각을 부딪혀서 불꽃을 만들어 불을 피울 수 있다.

Just make sure that the fire doesn’t spread!
