The baobab tree is a strange-looking tree found in Africa and Australia.

바오밥 나무는 아프리카와 호주에서 발견되는 이상하게 생긴 나무이다.

It doesn’t have leaves until it is nine years old.

그것은 그것이 9살이 될 때까지 그 잎사귀를 갖지 못한다.

Without leaves, the tree’s branches look like roots.

잎이 없어서, 그 나무의 나뭇가지는 뿌리처럼 보인다.

So the baobab tree is known by the nickname “upside-down tree.”

There are even legends about this strange-looking tree.

One legend says God created the baobab as the strongest tree in the world.

Because the baobab knew that, it was very proud.

It tried to show everyone how great it was by moving all around.

The baobab wanted to have the palm tree’s height, the flame tree’s beautiful flowers, and the fig tree’s fruit, so it asked God to have all of them.
