In the past, people used diving bells to go underwater.

과거에 사람들은 물속에 들어가기 위해 잠수종을 사용했다.

These devices were shaped like a bell and held air for divers to breathe.

In nature, the diving bell spider makes its own diving bell.

자연에서 물거미는 자기만의 잠수종을 만든다.

It is the only species of spider that spends its whole life underwater.

First, it makes an underwater web between plants.

Then it collects air bubbles from the surface using its legs and belly.

These body parts are covered in hairs.

The hairs help trap the bubbles.
