Anna Ivanovna was the empress of Russia in the 1730s.

Anna Ivanovna(안나 이바노브나)는 1730년대 러시아의 여황제였다.

She wasn’t interested in politics.

그녀는 정치에 관심이 없었다.

She cared only about power.

그녀는 오직 권력에만 신경을 썼다.

One day, she ordered the construction of an ice palace.

어느 날, 그녀는 얼음 궁전의 건설을 명령했다.

It was built to celebrate Russia’s victory over the Ottoman Empire.

But it really had a different purpose.

She wanted to punish a local prince.
