It’s not just people / who laugh.

사람뿐만이 아니다 / 웃는 것은

Surprisingly, / rats laugh too.

놀랍게도 / 쥐들도 웃는다

It’s hard / to believe, / but / it’s true!

그것은 어렵다 / 믿기 / 하지만 / 그것은 사실이다

Some scientists studied / the sounds rats make / when they play.

몇몇 과학자들은 연구했다 / 쥐들이 내는 소리를 / 그들이 놀 때

They had / a special machine / that can hear rat sounds.

그들은 가지고 있었다 / 특수한 기계를 / 쥐의 소리를 들을 수 있는

By using this machine, / they found out / that the rats laughed / when they played.

이 기계를 사용해서 / 그들은 알아냈다 / 쥐들이 웃는다는 것을 / 그들이 놀 때

When the scientists tickled them, / the rats laughed / really hard.

과학자들이 그것들을 간지럽히자 / 쥐들이 웃었다 / 아주 심하게

“I don’t think / that rats tell jokes.

저는 생각하지는 않아요 / 쥐가 농담을 한다고

But / they clearly like / to have fun and laugh,” / said one of the scientists.
