Many people love summertime!

많은 사람들이 여름을 좋아한다!

This is because of the fantastic weather / during summer.

이는 환상적인 날씨 때문이다 / 여름 동안의

In summer, / it is usually hot and sunny.

여름에는, / 보통 덥고 화창하다.

But during winter, / it is cold and snowy.

하지만 겨울 동안에는, / 춥고 눈이 온다.

This is because summer and winter are different seasons.

이는 여름과 겨울이 다른 계절이기 때문이다.

Did you ever wonder / why we have different seasons?

당신은 궁금해한 적이 있나요 / 왜 우리에게 다른 계절들이 있는지?

Seasons are different / because the earth travels around the sun.

계절들이 다른 이유는 / 지구가 태양 주위를 돌기 때문이다.

This is called / the earth's orbit.

이것은 ~라고 불리운다 / 지구의 궤도.

As the earth orbits, / it is also tilted.

지구가 공전할 때, / 그것은 또한 기울어져 있다.

That means / that the earth doesn't stand up straight.

So when the earth moves, / we get different amounts of sunlight.

In summer, / this part is tilted toward the sun.

So we have more sunlight and hotter days.

In winter, / this part is tilted away from the sun.

This means / that we get less sunlight / and our days are colder!

Our seasons change / because the earth moves throughout the year.

우리의 계절이 바뀐다 / 지구가 1년 내내 움직이기 때문에

In summer, / you can enjoy sunny skies.

It is the earth / that makes it possible!
