As far as we know, Earth is the only planet with life.

우리가 아는 한, 지구는 생명체가 있는 유일한 행성이다.

But why?

하지만 왜일까?

There are a few reasons for this.

이것에는 몇 가지 이유가 있다.

One reason is its distance from the Sun.

한 가지 이유는 지구의 태양으로부터의 거리이다.

Earth is not too far from the Sun, and it is not too close.

지구는 태양으로부터 너무 멀지도, 너무 가깝지도 않다.

This means that Earth is not too hot and it is not too cold.

이것은 지구가 너무 덥지도, 너무 춥지도 않다는 것을 의미한다.

It has just the right temperature for life.

지구는 생명체에게 딱 알맞은 온도를 가지고 있다.

Another reason is the atmosphere.

다른 이유는 대기다.

It consists of 21% oxygen.

그것은 21%의 산소로 구성된다.

Because of this, we can breathe.

이것 때문에 우리는 숨을 쉴 수 있다.

The atmosphere also protects us from harmful sun rays.

대기는 또한 우리를 해로운 태양 광선으로부터 보호한다.

The third reason is water.

세 번째 이유는 물이다.

As we all know, we can’t survive without water.

우리 모두 알고 있듯이, 우리는 물 없이 살아남을 수 없다.

It is essential for the cells, blood, muscles, and organs in our bodies.

그것은 우리 몸의 세포, 피, 근육, 그리고 장기에 필수적이다.

There are other conditions needed for life besides these, but Earth meets them all.
